📖  Daniel 9:27

« And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. »

In this passage, Gabriel announces that the Antichrist will confirm a seven-year covenant with many, marking the beginning of Daniel’s seventieth week. This covenant will bring a period of apparent peace and will allow the sacrificial system in Jerusalem to resume.

In the middle of the seven years, the Antichrist will break the covenant, put an end to the sacrifices, and commit the abomination of desolation by exalting himself against God and demanding the worship that belongs to God alone. This event marks the beginning of the Great Tribulation, a time of unprecedented persecution and even more severe judgments.

This verse is one of the most important prophecies concerning the last days. It announces the beginning of the seven-year Tribulation, which will ultimately be followed by the glorious return of Jesus Christ, the defeat of the Antichrist, and the establishment of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom.

📖  Ezekiel 38 - 39

The Prophecy of Gog et Magog

In these chapters, God foretells that in the last days Gog, the leader of a vast coalition of nations including Magog, Meshech, Tubal, Persia (modern-day Iran), Cush (generally identified with Ethiopia or Sudan), Put (Libya), Gomer, and the house of Togarmah (Ezekiel 38:2–6), will launch an invasion of Israel. The attack will be directed against the mountains of Israel, generally identified with the mountainous region of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank).

This prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. According to the prophetic chronology presented on this website, it will take place before the confirmation of the seven-year covenant described in Daniel 9:27 and before the Rapture of the Church. This invasion will be one of the first major events of the last days.

When this coalition attacks Israel, God will intervene directly by sending a great earthquake, confusion among the invading armies, pestilence, torrential rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone, completely destroying Gog’s forces (Ezekiel 38:19–22).

Following this victory, Israel will spend seven months burying the dead (Ezekiel 39:12) and seven years burning the weapons left behind by the invading armies (Ezekiel 39:9). Through this miraculous intervention, God will display His power, make His holiness known among the nations, and prepare the way for the prophetic events that follow, including the confirmation of the covenant, the Rapture of the Church, and the Tribulation.

📖  1Thessalonians 5:3

« For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. »

In this verse, Paul warns that at the very moment the world believes it has achieved peace and safety, God’s sudden judgment will come. People will think everything is secure, but that apparent stability will be abruptly shattered.

This prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. According to the prophetic chronology presented on this website, it will occur after the invasion of Gog and Magog described in Ezekiel 38–39 and will be closely associated with the confirmation of the seven-year covenant foretold in Daniel 9:27. This period of “peace and safety” will immediately precede the Rapture of the Church and the beginning of the judgments of the Tribulation.

This verse reminds us that the Day of the Lord will begin suddenly and unexpectedly for those who are unprepared. While many believe they have entered a time of lasting peace, God’s prophetic plan will swiftly move into its final phase.
