📖  Revelation 16:13-16

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

In this passage, John sees the dragon (Satan), the Beast (the Antichrist), and the False Prophet sending out demonic spirits to deceive the rulers of the world. These demons perform miraculous signs to persuade the kings of the earth to gather their armies for the final battle against God.

This event will take place near the end of the Great Tribulation, during the outpouring of the sixth bowl of God’s wrath. The armies of the nations will be assembled at Armageddon, in northern Israel, before advancing toward Jerusalem in an attempt to oppose Jesus Christ. Their rebellion will end when Jesus Christ returns in glory, destroys the gathered armies, defeats the Antichrist and the False Prophet, and establishes His Millennial Kingdom.

This passage shows that humanity’s rebellion against God will reach its climax under the direct influence of Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet. Despite this worldwide alliance, Jesus Christ will achieve a complete and final victory at His glorious return, fulfilling God’s prophetic plan.

📖  Revelation 16:1

« And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. »

In this verse, John hears a mighty voice from the heavenly temple commanding the seven angels to pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath upon the earth. This command marks the beginning of the final series of judgments during the Great Tribulation.

The seven bowls represent God’s most severe judgments upon a world that continues to reject His authority. They are poured out shortly before the glorious return of Jesus Christ and prepare the way for the end of the Antichrist’s reign and the judgment of his kingdom.

This verse shows that these judgments are not random disasters but the execution of God’s perfect justice. They fulfill His prophetic plan and declare that the triumph of evil is about to come to an end.

📖  Revelation 18:2

« And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. »

In this verse, John hears an angel proclaim the fall of Babylon the Great. This announcement declares with certainty that the system represented by Babylon has been judged and that its destruction is inevitable.

Once powerful and influential, Babylon is now described as a dwelling place of demons and unclean spirits, revealing the depth of its spiritual corruption. Its outward wealth and influence cannot conceal its complete rebellion against God.

This verse shows that every system built on rebellion, idolatry, and the rejection of God will ultimately come to an end. The fall of Babylon the Great demonstrates that God’s justice will finally triumph over every form of corruption and deception.

📖  Revelation 19:11-21

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

In this passage, John describes the glorious return of Jesus Christ at the head of the armies of heaven. He comes as the King of kings and Lord of lords to judge the nations, defeat His enemies, and bring the reign of the Antichrist to an end.

This event will take place at the end of the Great Tribulation, after the armies of the world have gathered at Armageddon. Jesus Christ will destroy the rebellious armies, the Antichrist and the False Prophet will be cast alive into the lake of fire, and Satan will then be bound for a thousand years (Revelation 20:1-3). This victory will usher in the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ on the earth.

This passage proclaims the final triumph of Jesus Christ over every evil power. The One who came the first time as the Savior will return as the Judge and the King, fulfilling the prophecies of both the Old and New Testaments and establishing His righteous reign over all the earth.
