The Bible presents a sequence of prophetic events that progressively lead to the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of God’s eternal kingdom 👇
The prophets of the Old Testament, Jesus Christ Himself, and the Book of Revelation describe a coherent prophetic scenario that unfolds through several major stages. These events reveal how God will bring human history to its final fulfillment.

The first major prophetic event is the attack against Israel by a coalition of nations led by Gog, whom many Bible teachers identify as Russia.
This alliance notably includes:

These nations invade Israel during a period when the country appears to be living in relative security.

2. The Seven-Year Peace Covenant
After this global conflict, the world enters a period of great instability.
Governments desperately seek a leader capable of restoring:
1) peace
2) economic stability
3) international security
4) global order
It is at this time that an exceptionally influential man appears: the Antichrist.
He negotiates a historic peace agreement with Israel and several Middle Eastern nations.
This covenant lasts seven prophetic years and officially marks the beginning of the final period foretold in Daniel.

Shortly after these events, Jesus comes to gather believers.
The dead in Christ are raised.
Living believers are instantly transformed.
All are caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

After the Rapture, the Antichrist rapidly consolidates his power.

But his true nature is gradually revealed.

centered on his authority.

9. The Glorious Return of Jesus Christ
Heaven opens.
Jesus returns in glory accompanied by the armies of heaven.
The Antichrist and the False Prophet are defeated.
Their armies are destroyed.
Satan is bound.

Jesus reigns physically on earth for one thousand years.

11. Satan’s Final Rebellion
After one thousand years, Satan is released for a short period.

A final rebellion breaks out.
God intervenes immediately.
Satan is defeated forever.

All the dead stand before God.
The books are opened.
Each person is judged according to his or her works.
This judgment marks the final end of sin, death, and evil.

13. The New Heaven and the New Earth
God creates a renewed universe.
Suffering disappears forever.
Death exists no more.
Believers live eternally in the presence of God.
Where Are We Today in This Prophetic Timeline?
The Bible does not set any dates, but several major signs indicate that the world is rapidly approaching the events foretold in Scripture 👇

“When you see all these things, know that He is near, at the door.”

Several prophetic developments appear to be converging today.
The Restoration of Israel
For nearly twenty centuries, Israel no longer existed as a nation.
Yet the prophets foretold its restoration.
In 1948, Israel was officially reborn.
Many consider this to be one of the greatest prophetic fulfillments in modern history.

Jerusalem at the Center of the World
The Bible foretells that Jerusalem will become a major focus of international conflict.
Even today:
1) global diplomacy
2) regional conflicts
3) religious disputes
4) geopolitical tensions
are largely centered around Israel.

2) Iran
3) Turkey
4) Middle Eastern nations
strongly resemble the coalition described in Ezekiel 38.
Many believe that the geopolitical conditions necessary for this conflict are now in place.

Revelation describes a system in which no one can buy or sell without authorization.
Today we already have:
1) digital currencies
2) digital identity systems
3) biometrics
4) artificial intelligence
5) global surveillance technologies
Technologies that could make worldwide economic control possible.

The global economy is more interconnected than ever before.
Financial, health, and military crises can now affect the entire world almost instantly.
This global interconnectedness could help prepare the way for the future world government described in Revelation.

Spiritual Apostasy
The Bible also foretells a growing departure from God.
Today:
Christian faith is declining in many regions
biblical values are increasingly rejected
moral relativism is expanding
false spiritualities are multiplying
These developments suggest to many believers that we may be living in the generation preparing for the major prophetic events still to come.
What Is the True Purpose of This Entire Prophetic Timeline?
Biblical prophecy was not given to satisfy human curiosity, but to reveal God’s plan and prepare people for the return of Jesus Christ 👇
When studying prophecy, it is easy to focus on:
3) wars
4) disasters
Yet these are not the central message of biblical prophecy.
The true focus of prophecy is Jesus Christ.
From Genesis to Revelation, the entire biblical story points to Him.

To Show That God Controls History
Prophecy demonstrates that world events are not the result of chance.
God knows the future perfectly.
“Declaring the end from the beginning.”

God reveals the future so that everyone may be prepared.
Prophecy is a warning given in love.
It reminds us that the time of grace will not last forever.

To Reveal the True Nature of Evil
The Tribulation will show how far humanity can go when it rejects God.
The Antichrist will represent the ultimate expression of this worldwide rebellion.

To Prepare for the Return of the King
All prophetic events lead to one moment:
the visible return of Jesus Christ.
The world will finally see the One who is the true King.

After millennia of wars, injustice, and suffering, God will establish a perfect reign.
The Millennium and the Eternal Kingdom will demonstrate what humanity was always meant to be under God’s authority.

The Bible concludes with the complete fulfillment of God’s plan:

The timeline of the End Times is therefore not primarily the story of future catastrophes.
It is the story of God’s final victory, the glorious return of Jesus Christ, the ultimate defeat of evil, and the everlasting establishment of the Kingdom of God.

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”
In this prophetic passage, Daniel announces a final period marked by a covenant, the cessation of sacrifices, and a great profanation. This verse is associated with the Antichrist and the events of the end times.
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
In this prophetic passage, Paul the Apostle announces that before the Day of the Lord there will come a great apostasy and the revelation of “the man of sin,” identified as the Antichrist, who will seek to be worshiped as God.
“And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.”
In this prophetic vision, John describes the third trumpet judgment: a star called Wormwood falls from heaven and turns a third of the earth’s waters bitter, causing many people to die from the contaminated waters.
“And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”
In this prophetic vision, John describes the gathering of the kings and armies of the world for the battle of Armageddon, the final conflict of the end times preceding the glorious return of Jesus Christ.
“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” 👇
In this prophetic passage, John describes the final judgment of the Beast (the Antichrist) and the False Prophet. After deceiving the nations and leading many people to receive the mark of the Beast, they are ultimately judged by God.
“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 👇
And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
In this prophetic vision, John describes the imprisonment of Satan for one thousand years and the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. Faithful believers take part in the first resurrection and reign with Christ during this period of peace and righteousness.
“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 👇
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
In this prophetic vision, John describes the final rebellion after the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ. After his release, Satan deceives the nations once again and gathers them for war against the saints, but God sends fire from heaven to destroy them. Satan is then cast into the lake of fire for eternal judgment.
“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 👇
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
In this prophetic vision, John describes the final judgment before the Great White Throne. All the dead stand before God to be judged. Those whose names are not found written in the Book of Life are cast into the lake of fire, which is called the second death.
Revelation 21
After the final judgment, John sees:
1) A new heaven and a new earth replacing the former world.
2) The New Jerusalem descending from heaven from God.
3) God dwelling with His people forever.
4) The end of all suffering: 👇
no more death,
no more mourning,
no more crying,
no more pain.
God declares:
“Behold, I make all things new.”
The glory of God illuminates the city; there is no need for the sun or the moon.
Nothing impure will enter it; only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Revelation 22
John sees the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God.
He sees the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit and providing healing for the nations.
There is no more curse.
God’s servants see His face and reign with Him forever.
Jesus confirms that these words are faithful and true.
Jesus repeatedly says:
“Behold, I come quickly.”
The invitation to salvation is extended to everyone:
“And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
Conclusion
Chapters 21 and 22 describe the eternal state after God’s final victory: a renewed creation, God’s everlasting presence with His people, the complete removal of evil, and eternal life for all who belong to Jesus Christ.
“For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.”
In this prophecy, Ezekiel announces that God will gather the people of Israel from among the nations and bring them back to their land. 👇
This prophecy began to be fulfilled on May 14, 1948, when Israel was reestablished as an independent nation. Since then, Jewish people from many countries around the world have returned to Israel.
“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
In this prophecy, Zechariah announces that Jerusalem will become a source of conflict for the nations.
“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
In this prophetic passage, John describes a global system controlled by the Beast, where a mark will be required in order to buy or sell during the end times.
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us–ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 👇
In this verse, Peter explains that God delays His judgment out of patience and love, giving everyone the opportunity to repent and be saved.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”
In this prophetic vision, John sees the glorious return of Jesus Christ.
Jesus will visibly return to the earth as King and Judge at the end of the 7 years of tribulation to judge and establish righteousness.
“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” 👇
In this passage, God declares that He is the only true God and that He knows the future from the very beginning. He affirms His absolute sovereignty and the certain fulfillment of His purposes.
“And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.”
In prophetic interpretation, Gog is associated with Russia.
This passage announces that a coalition of nations led by Gog will attack Israel in the last days, but God will intervene powerfully in order to reveal His glory before all nations.
“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.”
In this prophetic vision, John sees seven angels carrying the seven last plagues. These judgments complete the wrath of God before the final establishment of His kingdom.
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
In this prophetic vision, John sees creation renewed after God’s judgments. A new heaven and a new earth replace the former order of the world, marking the beginning of eternity with God.
