The Book of Revelation presents two major figures who will dominate the world during the final period of human history: the Antichrist and the False Prophet.
The Antichrist will exercise political, military, and economic power. The False Prophet, on the other hand, will exercise religious and spiritual authority.
His mission will be to prepare the nations to accept the Antichrist as the legitimate world leader.
He will likely not present himself as an enemy of God. On the contrary, he will appear as a man of peace, spirituality, and religious unity.
The Bible describes him as someone capable of deceiving the masses through his reassuring appearance and moral authority.
“Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.”
Revelation 13:11
This image is especially significant.
The lamb usually symbolizes gentleness and religion, while the dragon represents Satan in Revelation.
The False Prophet will therefore appear benevolent on the outside, but his true objective will be to lead humanity away from God.
Many prophecy scholars believe that he could lead a global religious movement seeking to unite religions under a single spiritual authority.

It is in this context that the False Prophet will appear.
His goal will be to convince the world that the Antichrist is the chosen leader capable of bringing peace, stability, and global unity.
To achieve this, he will use:

2) his worldwide influence
3) persuasive speeches
4) deceptive supernatural signs
5) miracles designed to impress the masses

These extraordinary displays will persuade many people that the Antichrist has divine approval.
The False Prophet will then become the chief propagandist of the new world order.
He will encourage the nations to abandon their former beliefs and participate in a global religious system centered on the worship of the Antichrist.
This religious support will give the Antichrist a legitimacy that political power alone could never provide.
By uniting politics, economics, and religion under a single authority, they will together establish the world system foretold in the Book of Revelation.
What Role Will the False Prophet Play in the Mark of the Beast?
The False Prophet will be one of the main figures responsible for enforcing the mark of the beast 👇
After three and a half years of apparent peace, the Antichrist will break his covenant with Israel and reveal his true nature.
From that moment on, he will demand worldwide worship and establish total control over the populations of the earth.
The False Prophet will be tasked with persuading people to accept this new authority.
The Bible states that he will cause an image of the beast to be made and will urge the inhabitants of the earth to worship it.
“It was granted to the second beast to give breath to the image of the beast.”
Revelation 13:15
He will also play a key role in establishing the global economic system connected to the mark of the beast.
“He caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead.”

According to Scripture, this mark will become mandatory for participation in the global economy.
Without it:
1) it will be impossible to buy
2) it will be impossible to sell
3) normal access to the economic system will be denied
The False Prophet will likely use all of his religious influence to persuade people that this measure is necessary for maintaining peace, security, and global stability.
However, the Bible warns that the mark will represent far more than a simple economic tool.
It will symbolize allegiance to the kingdom of the Antichrist and the rejection of God’s authority.
That is why Revelation contains such severe warnings against accepting it.
Despite his immense power, the False Prophet will not ultimately prevail.
At the return of Jesus Christ, he and the Antichrist will be judged together.
“The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast.”
Revelation 19:20
The Bible therefore presents the False Prophet as the final great religious deceiver in human history, appointed to lead the nations into the worship of the Antichrist before the glorious return of Jesus Christ.
