📖  Revelation 13:12

« And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. »

In this verse, John describes the role of the False Prophet, represented by the second beast. He will exercise the authority of the Antichrist and use his influence to lead the inhabitants of the earth to worship the first Beast, whose apparent recovery from a fatal wound will astonish the entire world.

This event will take place during the Great Tribulation, when the False Prophet establishes a worldwide religion centered on the Antichrist. Through deceptive signs and false miracles, he will persuade the nations to worship the Beast, preparing the way for the enforcement of the mark of the Beast (666).

📖  Revelation 13:13

« And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, »

In this verse, John reveals that the False Prophet will perform great miraculous signs to convince the inhabitants of the earth that the Antichrist is worthy of worship. Among these deceptive miracles, he will even call down fire from heaven, imitating the miraculous acts of God recorded in the Old Testament in order to deceive the world.

This event will take place during the Great Tribulation, when the False Prophet uses these spectacular signs to deceive the nations and lead them to worship the Antichrist. These false miracles will also prepare the way for the enforcement of the mark of the Beast (666).

📖  Revelation 13:16

« And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: »

In this verse, John reveals that the False Prophet will require everyone to receive the mark of the Beast on their right hand or forehead. This mark will represent a public declaration of allegiance to the Antichrist and his worldwide government, regardless of a person’s social status or wealth.

This event will take place during the Great Tribulation, when the False Prophet establishes a global system that requires the worship of the Antichrist. Everyone will be forced to choose between receiving the mark of the Beast (666) or remaining faithful to Jesus Christ. Those who refuse the mark will face severe persecution, but they will remain faithful to God.

This verse shows that the Antichrist’s reign will exercise unprecedented control over the world. It reminds us that every person will have to make a decisive choice between following Jesus Christ or giving allegiance to the Beast. 📖  Revelation 19:20

« And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. »

In this verse, John describes the judgment of the Antichrist and the False Prophet at the glorious return of Jesus Christ. Following their defeat, they are seized and judged for deceiving the nations and leading people to worship the Beast and receive the mark of the Beast (666).

The False Prophet had performed great signs and miracles to deceive the inhabitants of the earth and turn them away from God. His work of deception comes to a permanent end when Jesus Christ intervenes in power.

This verse is significant because the Antichrist and the False Prophet are the first beings to be cast into the lake of fire, the place of eternal judgment. Their punishment is immediate and final, demonstrating that no one can escape the perfect justice of God.
