📖  Luke 1:32-33

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

In this passage, the angel Gabriel announces to Mary the identity and mission of Jesus Christ. He declares that Jesus is the Son of the Highest and that God will give Him the throne of David, fulfilling the promises made to King David concerning an everlasting King from his descendants.

The first part of this prophecy was fulfilled at the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem, just as the prophets had foretold. However, the promise that He will reign on the throne of David has not yet been fully fulfilled.

This prophecy will reach its complete fulfillment at the glorious return of Jesus Christ, when He establishes His Millennial Kingdom and reigns over Israel and the nations. His kingdom will be everlasting and will never end, perfectly fulfilling God’s promises to David.

📖  Zechariah 8:23

« Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. »

In this verse, God declares that a day is coming when the nations will recognize that His presence rests upon Israel. People from every language and nation will seek out the Jewish people, saying, “We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.”

This prophecy has not yet been fully fulfilled. It will reach its fulfillment after the glorious return of Jesus Christ, when Israel is restored and the nations come to Jerusalem to worship the Lord during the Millennial Kingdom.

This verse reveals the complete reversal of Israel’s position among the nations. After centuries of rejection and persecution, Israel will become a nation honored by the world—not because of its own strength, but because God will dwell among His people, and the nations will acknowledge His presence and authority.

📖  Revelation 20:1-3

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

In this passage, John describes what takes place immediately after the glorious return of Jesus Christ. An angel sent by God descends from heaven, seizes Satan, and binds him for one thousand years. He is then cast into the bottomless pit, where he is imprisoned and prevented from deceiving the nations.

During this period, Satan is completely restrained and can no longer influence the nations. His imprisonment allows the Millennial Kingdom to begin, during which Jesus Christ reigns over the earth in righteousness and peace.

This passage demonstrates God’s complete victory over Satan. The one who deceived the nations for centuries is stripped of his power and confined until the end of the thousand years, revealing God’s absolute sovereignty and the perfect fulfillment of His prophetic plan.

📖  Revelation 21:1

« And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. »

In this verse, John describes the beginning of the eternal state, following the Great White Throne Judgment and the final judgment of evil. God creates a new heaven and a new earth, replacing the former creation that had been affected by sin, suffering, and death.

This new creation is completely renewed and perfectly pure. The statement “there was no more sea” emphasizes that the former order has completely passed away. Everything associated with the fallen world has been removed, making way for a creation where God’s presence fills all things.

This verse marks the beginning of eternity for all believers. The New Heaven and the New Earth will be the everlasting home of those who belong to Jesus Christ, where they will live forever in perfect peace, joy, and fellowship with God.
