After the glorious return of Jesus Christ, His Millennial Kingdom, the final defeat of Satan, and the Last Judgment, the Bible reveals the ultimate fulfillment of God’s plan: the creation of the New Earth and the descent of the New Jerusalem.

On the New Earth there will be no more:

4) natural disasters

After creating the New Earth, John sees an extraordinary city descending from heaven.
“I saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.”

The Bible describes a city of breathtaking beauty.
It features:
1) twelve gates made of pearl
2) twelve foundations adorned with precious stones
3) streets of pure gold
4) magnificent walls
5) the radiant glory of God shining throughout the city
According to Revelation 21, the city measures approximately 1,400 miles (2,200 kilometers) in length, width, and height.
Its immense size demonstrates that it has been prepared for believers from every generation.
Yet its greatest treasure is not its beauty.
It is the presence of God Himself.
There will no longer be a temple because God and the Lamb will be the Temple.
“I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”
Revelation 21:22
Believers will see God face to face.
They will enjoy perfect fellowship with Him forever.
Life in the New Jerusalem will surpass anything the human mind can imagine👇
The Bible describes a perfect existence where nothing belonging to the old world will remain.
God Himself will wipe away every tear.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Revelation 21:4
There will be no more:
1) death
2) sickness
3) pain
4) sorrow
5) mourning
6) exhaustion
7) aging
8) sin
Believers will receive glorified bodies like the resurrected body of Jesus Christ.
They will never again experience weakness, disease, or death.
The Bible also teaches that believers will serve God and reign with Him forever.
“They shall reign forever and ever.”
Revelation 22:5
The New Jerusalem will not be a place of endless inactivity.
Instead, eternity will be filled with:
1) perfect joy
2) everlasting peace
3) restored relationships
4) joyful worship
5) meaningful service to God
6) endless discoveries of God’s glory
There will be no need for the sun or the moon because God’s glory will illuminate the entire city.
“The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it.”
Revelation 21:23
The New Earth and the New Jerusalem represent the grand climax of the entire Bible.
From Genesis to Revelation, God has been carrying out one perfect plan: to dwell forever with His redeemed people in a flawless creation.
The Christian hope therefore does not end with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
It reaches its complete fulfillment in an eternal kingdom where God lives forever with His people in a new creation filled with righteousness, peace, joy, and everlasting glory.
