« For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: »
In this verse, Paul explains that God’s invisible attributes—His eternal power and divine nature—are clearly revealed through creation. The order of the universe, the complexity of life, and the beauty of nature all testify to the work of the Creator, leaving humanity without excuse for denying His existence.
This truth has been evident since the creation of the world. Throughout every generation, God has revealed Himself through what He has made, providing a universal witness to His power, wisdom, and divine nature.
This verse reminds us that although creation points people to the existence of God, it does not reveal the way of salvation. For that reason, God sent Jesus Christ, so that everyone who places their faith in Him may receive the forgiveness of sins and everlasting life.
« In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. »
In this opening verse of the Bible, God is revealed as the Creator of all things. Before the existence of the universe, time, and matter, God already existed. By His sovereign power, He created the heaven and the earth, establishing the foundation of all creation.
This event was fulfilled at the very beginning of creation. It marks the origin of the universe and everything that exists, according to God’s sovereign purpose.
This verse establishes the foundation of the entire Bible. It declares that God is the Creator and sovereign ruler of all things. Every prophecy and every promise in Scripture rests upon this fundamental truth: the Creator is also the One who directs history and will perfectly accomplish His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.
« I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. »
In this verse, David praises God for the extraordinary way in which he was created. He acknowledges that every human being is the result of the perfect work of the Creator, formed with wisdom, power, and purpose. The complexity and beauty of the human body testify to the greatness of God.
This truth has been evident since the creation of mankind. Ever since Adam and Eve were created, every human life has been formed according to God’s design, reflecting His marvelous workmanship.
This verse reminds us that every human life has great value in the sight of God. We are not the result of chance, but of the will of the Creator, who knows each person personally and calls us into a relationship with Jesus Christ, the giver of eternal life.
« But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. »
In this verse, John explains the purpose of his Gospel. The miracles, teachings, and events he recorded were written so that readers would believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and by believing, receive eternal life through Him.
This truth was fulfilled in the first century when Jesus Christ rose from the dead. John, the author of this Gospel, personally saw the risen Jesus and witnessed His appearances after the resurrection. He wrote this testimony to provide a faithful eyewitness account, so that others might believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah and receive everlasting life through faith in Him.
This verse reminds us that the Bible was not written merely to convey information, but to lead every person to a personal faith in Jesus Christ. Everyone who believes in Him receives the forgiveness of sins and everlasting life through His name.
