Science reveals that the universe is governed by extremely precise physical constants. Even the slightest change in these parameters would make life impossible.
« For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities have been clearly seen… »
Science seeks to understand how the universe works through observation, experimentation, and the laws of nature. The Bible, on the other hand, answers life’s greatest questions about existence.
Many scientific discoveries have led some researchers to question whether a Creator exists.
Science and the Bible are not necessarily as contradictory as many people think.
A Precisely Ordered Universe
Modern cosmology affirms that the universe had a beginning. Long before recent scientific discoveries, the Bible already declared that the universe had been created.
The Origin of the Universe
« In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth … »
DNA contains an immense amount of biological information. This complexity has led some scientists to question the existence of a creative intelligence.
The Complexity of Life
« I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made … »
The Bible Speaks of Salvation
Although science helps us understand many mechanisms of nature, it does not answer questions about the meaning of life, morality, good and evil, or eternity.
« These are written that you may believe … »

Science has never demonstrated that God does not exist 👇
Contrary to a widely held belief, no scientific discovery has ever proven the nonexistence of God.
Science is an extremely powerful tool for studying the natural world. It allows us to observe, measure, and explain the physical phenomena of the universe. However, it also has limits: it can only investigate what is observable, measurable, or repeatable.
The question of God lies beyond the scope of scientific experimentation.
Science can study:
1) matter
2) energy
3) physical laws
4) natural phenomena
5) biological mechanisms
But it cannot test in a laboratory:
1) the meaning of existence
2) the full nature of human consciousness
3) spiritual realities
4) the eternal dimension of human beings
5) the existence of a Creator who transcends the universe
Moreover, many renowned scientists believed in God or in a higher intelligence.
Among them:
Isaac Newton
Johannes Kepler
Blaise Pascal
Michael Faraday
James Clerk Maxwell
For these thinkers, the remarkable order of the universe pointed to an organizing intelligence rather than to pure chance.
“The heavens declare the glory of God.”
Psalm 19:1
Science therefore does not prove that God does not exist; it simply studies a different domain from that of faith.
Is the Bible Compatible with Scientific Discoveries?
Many believers consider science and the Bible to be complementary rather than contradictory 👇
The Bible was never intended to be a scientific textbook. Its primary purpose is to reveal God, His plan for humanity, and the way of salvation.
However, some biblical passages have intrigued researchers because they contain statements that do not appear to conflict with modern scientific knowledge.
For example:
1) the Earth suspended in space (Job 26:7)
2) the water cycle (Ecclesiastes 1:7)
3) the importance of hygiene and isolation during disease outbreaks (Leviticus 13)
4) the idea of a universe with a beginning (Genesis 1:1)
Of course, there is ongoing debate regarding the interpretation of certain passages, especially concerning:
1) creation
2) the age of the universe
3) the flood
4) evolution
Not all Christians interpret these texts in the same way.
Nevertheless, many believe there is no fundamental contradiction between discovering the laws of nature and believing in a Creator who established those laws.
For them, science explains how the universe works, while the Bible explains why it exists.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1
“All things were created through Him and for Him.”
Colossians 1:16
Thus, for many believers, every scientific discovery provides another reason to marvel at the complexity and order of creation.
Did the Universe Appear by Chance, or Was It Designed?
This is perhaps one of the most important questions in human history 👇
Why does the universe exist?
Why are the laws of physics so precisely tuned?
Why does matter possess the properties necessary for the formation of stars, planets, and life?
Why does DNA contain such a vast amount of coded information?
These questions continue to fuel debates among scientists, philosophers, and theologians.
Many researchers point out that the universe appears to be extraordinarily fine-tuned for life.
If certain fundamental constants were even slightly different:
1) stars could not form
2) essential chemical elements would not exist
3) galaxies would not develop
4) life as we know it would be impossible
To some, this remarkable fine-tuning suggests the existence of a Creator or an intelligent Designer.
To others, it may be explained by natural mechanisms not yet fully understood or by cosmological theories such as the multiverse.
The Bible offers a clear answer to this question:
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command.”
Hebrews 11:3
According to Scripture, the universe is not the product of blind chance but the work of an intelligent Creator who intended the existence of life and humanity.
The Bible also teaches that the universe has a purpose, that human beings are not the result of a cosmic accident, and that God has a plan for every person.
Thus, far from being merely an intellectual debate, the question of origins directly touches the meaning of our existence and our relationship with God.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”
In this verse, David declares that creation testifies to the greatness, power, and glory of God. The heavens and the universe reveal the work of their Creator.
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” 👇
In this verse, Paul teaches that creation reveals God’s eternal power and divine nature. By observing the created world, people can recognize the existence and greatness of God.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
In this opening verse of the Bible, God is presented as the Creator of all things, the origin of heaven, earth, and all creation.
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
In this verse, David expresses his admiration for God because of the wonderful way he was created. He acknowledges the wisdom and perfection of the Creator’s work.
“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
In this verse, John explains the purpose of his Gospel: to lead people to believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him they may have eternal life through His name.
