The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is one of the greatest events foretold in the Bible. After the Rapture of the Church and the seven years of Tribulation, Jesus will visibly return to the earth to bring an end to the reign of the Antichrist, rescue Israel, judge the nations, and establish His Kingdom.
Unlike the Rapture, when believers are caught up to meet the Lord in the air, the Second Coming will be witnessed by the entire world. At that time, the nations will gather against Jerusalem for the Battle of Armageddon, but no army will be able to stand against the King of kings.
The glorious return of Jesus fulfills prophecies spoken throughout the Old and New Testaments. It marks the beginning of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom and prepares the way for the New Earth and the New Jerusalem.

According to the Bible, Jesus Christ will return at the end of the seven-year Tribulation, immediately before the beginning of His Millennial Kingdom👇
After the Rapture of the Church, the world will enter the Tribulation.
During these seven years, the Antichrist will gradually establish his global rule.
Halfway through this period, he will break his covenant with Israel, desecrate the Third Temple, and demand worship from the entire world.
The final stage of the Tribulation will lead the nations to gather against Jerusalem for the Battle of Armageddon.
It is at that exact moment that Jesus Christ will return.
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days… they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
Matthew 24:29-30
His return will be:
1) visible to the entire world
2) sudden
3) glorious
4) victorious
5) final
Unlike His first coming, when He came as the suffering Servant, Jesus will return as the King of kings and Lord of lords.
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ will bring the Tribulation to an end and mark God’s final victory over the powers of evil👇
When Jesus appears in glory, the armies gathered against Jerusalem will be defeated.
The Antichrist and the False Prophet will be captured.
“The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet.”
Revelation 19:20
Satan will then be bound for one thousand years.
“He laid hold of the dragon… and bound him for a thousand years.”
Revelation 20:2
The return of Christ will accomplish several major events:
1) the defeat of the Antichrist
2) the defeat of the False Prophet
3) the binding of Satan
4) the judgment of the nations
5) the rescue of Israel
6) the end of the Tribulation
7) the beginning of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom
8) the fulfillment of God’s promises to Israel
At that moment, Israel will finally recognize Jesus as the promised Messiah.
“They will look on Me whom they pierced.”
Zechariah 12:10
The Second Coming therefore marks the greatest turning point in human history.
The Second Coming fulfills every promise of God and begins the visible reign of Jesus Christ over the earth👇
For nearly two thousand years, Christians have looked forward to the return of their Lord.
This hope is not based on tradition but on the repeated promises of Jesus Himself.
“I will come again.”
John 14:3
The return of Christ means that:
1) evil will be permanently defeated
2) Satan’s rule will come to an end
3) righteousness will fill the earth
4) Israel will be fully restored
5) believers will reign with Christ
6) every biblical prophecy will be fulfilled
After Christ’s thousand-year reign will come:
2) the ultimate destruction of evil
3) the creation of the New Earth
4) the descent of the New Jerusalem
The Second Coming is therefore not the end of history.
It marks the beginning of Christ’s visible reign on earth and prepares believers for eternity in God’s perfect kingdom.
The Bible closes with one of its greatest promises:
“Surely I am coming quickly.”
Revelation 22:20
The glorious return of Jesus Christ reminds believers that God always keeps His promises. No matter how chaotic the world becomes, history is moving toward the day when Jesus Christ will return in glory, establish His righteous Kingdom, and reign forever as the King of kings and Lord of lords.

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
In this prophetic vision, John sees the glorious return of Jesus Christ at the end of the Tribulation. He comes as the victorious King and righteous Judge to defeat evil, judge the nations, and establish His kingdom on the earth.
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
In this prophetic vision, John announces the visible and glorious return of Jesus Christ. At His Second Coming, every eye will see Him, fulfilling the prophecies concerning His return to judge the nations and establish His everlasting kingdom.
“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” 👇
In this prophetic passage, John describes the final judgment of the Beast (the Antichrist) and the False Prophet. After deceiving the nations and leading many people to receive the mark of the Beast, they are ultimately judged by God.
“And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.”
In this prophecy, Zechariah announces a time when the people of Israel will recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah. When they look upon the One they have pierced, they will experience deep repentance. This prophecy will be fulfilled at the glorious return of Christ at the end of the Tribulation.
“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” 👇
In this prophetic vision, John sees believers who remained faithful to Jesus Christ, refusing to worship the Beast or receive its mark. They are raised to life and reign with Christ for one thousand years.
