« And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. »
In this verse, Jesus declares that the Gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the entire world before the final events of the last days are completed. Every nation will hear this testimony before God’s prophetic plan reaches its conclusion.
This prophecy has not yet been fully fulfilled. Although the Gospel has been preached since the first century, its worldwide proclamation will reach its ultimate fulfillment during the Tribulation. According to the prophetic chronology presented on this website, after the Rapture of the Church, God will raise up the 144,000 sealed servants from Israel (Revelation 7), the Two Witnesses (Revelation 11), and an angel proclaiming the everlasting gospel to every nation, tribe, language, and people (Revelation 14:6–7).
This verse shows that God will continue to offer the message of salvation to the nations before the end. Once this worldwide witness has been completed, the final events of the Tribulation will lead to the glorious return of Jesus Christ.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
In this passage, Jesus foretells several signs that will characterize the last days: wars, conflicts between nations, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes. He makes it clear, however, that although these events signal the approach of the end, they do not yet mark the completion of God’s prophetic plan.
This prophecy has not yet been fully fulfilled. According to the prophetic chronology presented on this website, these events will characterize the period leading up to the Tribulation. After the invasion of Gog and Magog, and then the confirmation of the seven-year covenant foretold in Daniel 9:27, these signs will intensify before the judgments of the Tribulation begin, when wars, famines, pestilences, and worldwide upheavals will reach an unprecedented scale.
This passage reminds us that the events of the last days will unfold progressively. The conflicts and disasters foretold by Jesus are the early signs that God’s prophetic plan is entering its final phase, preparing the way for the judgments that will culminate in the glorious return of Jesus Christ.
« And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. »
In this verse, God declares that Jerusalem will become the focal point of world conflict in the last days. The city will be the center of international opposition as the nations unite against God’s purposes for Israel.
The image of a “burdensome stone” illustrates that those who attempt to oppose or overturn God’s plan for Jerusalem will ultimately bring harm upon themselves. No human power or international alliance will be able to prevent God from accomplishing His purposes.
This verse emphasizes the unique place of Jerusalem in God’s prophetic plan. It reminds us that, regardless of the plans of nations or the ambitions of world leaders, God remains sovereign and will faithfully fulfill everything He has promised concerning Israel and His holy city.
« And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. »
In this verse, Jesus encourages His disciples not to fear when the prophetic events of the last days begin to unfold. Instead, they are to look up with hope, because their redemption is drawing near.
This prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. According to the prophetic chronology presented on this website, after the invasion of Gog and Magog and the confirmation of the seven-year covenant foretold in Daniel 9:27, the events of the last days will begin to unfold rapidly. For the Church, deliverance will come through the Rapture, before the judgments of the Tribulation begin.
This verse is a message of hope for believers. In the midst of the upheavals foretold by Jesus, Christians are reminded that God’s prophetic plan leads to the deliverance of those who belong to Jesus Christ. The signs of the last days are therefore not a reason for despair, but an encouragement to look forward with confidence to the fulfillment of His promises.
