Among the most mysterious figures in the book of Revelation are the Two Witnesses, two real prophets whom God will send after the Rapture of the Church to proclaim His message during the Tribulation.
As the Antichrist gradually gains political, economic, and religious control over the world, God will raise up these two men to call humanity to repentance, announce the soon return of Jesus Christ, and expose the deception of the Antichrist.
For 1,260 days (three and a half years), they will perform extraordinary miracles, boldly proclaim God’s Word, and enjoy supernatural protection. No one will be able to kill them until God has completed their mission.
When their ministry is finished, the Antichrist will put them to death. Their bodies will lie in the streets of Jerusalem for three and a half days before God raises them back to life and calls them up to heaven in full view of the entire world.
The ministry of the Two Witnesses demonstrates that, even during the darkest period in human history, God continues to offer mankind one final opportunity to repent before the glorious return of Jesus Christ.

The Two Witnesses are two real prophets whom God will send after the Rapture of the Church to proclaim His message during the Tribulation👇
The book of Revelation does not explicitly identify these two men.
For centuries, Bible scholars have proposed different views.
Many believe they will be Moses and Elijah, because the miracles they perform closely resemble those associated with these two prophets.
Others believe they will be Elijah and Enoch, since both men were taken by God without experiencing physical death.
Regardless of their identity, the Bible clearly describes their mission.
For 1,260 days, or three and a half years, they will proclaim God’s coming judgment, call the nations to repentance, and announce that Jesus Christ will soon return.
“I will give power to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days.”
Revelation 11:3
Their ministry will be centered primarily in Jerusalem while the Antichrist gradually establishes his global kingdom.
Their presence reminds the world that God never leaves humanity without a witness, even during the darkest days of history.
God will give the Two Witnesses supernatural authority to prove that their message truly comes from Him👇
The miracles described in Revelation 11 closely resemble those performed by Moses and Elijah in the Old Testament.
They will have the power to:
1) call down fire from heaven against their enemies
2) shut the sky so that no rain falls
3) turn water into blood
4) strike the earth with every kind of plague whenever necessary
“They have power to shut heaven… and power over waters to turn them to blood.”
Revelation 11:6
Throughout their ministry, no one will be able to harm them.
Every attempt to kill them will fail until God determines that their mission has been completed.
This supernatural protection demonstrates that no one can stop God’s prophetic plan.
When their work is finished, however, God will allow the Antichrist to kill them.
Their death will not be a defeat but the completion of their testimony.
For three and a half days their bodies will remain in the streets of Jerusalem.
Then God will publicly raise them back to life before the eyes of the entire world.
Their resurrection will become one of the greatest miracles of the Tribulation.
The Two Witnesses demonstrate that even during the judgments of the Tribulation, God continues to offer salvation to humanity👇
While the Antichrist seeks to deceive the world and demand worship as a god, the Two Witnesses will boldly proclaim God’s truth.
They will expose sin.
They will call people to repentance.
They will announce the soon return of Jesus Christ.
At the same time, the 144,000 Jewish servants of God will also proclaim the Gospel throughout the world.
Together, these ministries show that even during God’s judgments, His mercy remains available to anyone willing to repent.
When the ministry of the Two Witnesses is complete, the Antichrist will have them executed.
Their bodies will lie in the streets of Jerusalem for three and a half days.
The unbelieving world will celebrate their deaths.
“Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them.”
Revelation 11:10
But suddenly, God will intervene.
“Come up here.”
Revelation 11:12
The Two Witnesses will rise from the dead before the eyes of the nations and ascend into heaven.
This extraordinary event will publicly demonstrate God’s absolute authority over life and death.
The ministry of the Two Witnesses is one of God’s final calls to repentance before the Battle of Armageddon and the visible return of Jesus Christ.
It reminds the world that until the very end, God remains both perfectly just and infinitely merciful, giving every person one last opportunity to turn to Him before His eternal Kingdom is established.

“And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.”
In this prophetic vision, John announces that God will raise up two witnesses to proclaim His message for 1,260 days (three and a half years). They will carry out their ministry during the Tribulation, calling the world to repentance despite intense opposition.
“And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.”
In this prophetic vision, John describes the extraordinary powers given to the two witnesses. God supernaturally protects them and grants them authority to perform great miracles during their ministry throughout the Tribulation, confirming the message they proclaim.
“And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.”
In this prophetic vision, John describes the miraculous resurrection of the two witnesses after three and a half days. God restores them to life before the whole world, demonstrating His sovereign power and confirming the testimony they proclaimed during the Tribulation.
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us–ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 👇
In this verse, Peter explains that God delays His judgment out of patience and love, giving everyone the opportunity to repent and be saved.
