The Bible teaches that unbelief will be one of the defining signs of the last days👇
Throughout history, God has always warned humanity before major divine interventions. Yet many people have often refused to believe His warnings.
In Noah’s day, people did not believe the coming judgment despite years of preaching. Life continued as normal, and few imagined that the Flood could actually happen.
Jesus said it would be the same before His return.
Today, many people view biblical prophecy as:
1) ancient legends
2) symbols with no real future fulfillment
3) outdated stories
4) impossible scenarios in the modern world
Others believe that science, technology, and human progress make such events unrealistic.
Yet the Bible specifically foretold that many would reject the very idea of Christ’s return.
“Where is the promise of His coming?”
2 Peter 3:4
“In the last days scoffers will come, following their own desires.”
2 Peter 3:3
Biblical prophecy therefore teaches that today’s skepticism is not surprising, but rather a fulfillment of what Scripture predicted long ago.
Why Do Some Christians Also Reject the Rapture?
Not all believers interpret biblical prophecy in the same way👇
Some churches view the prophecies concerning the Rapture as symbolic, while others understand them literally.
Over the centuries, different interpretations have developed regarding:
1) the exact timing of the Rapture
2) the Tribulation period
3) the reign of the Antichrist
4) the prophecies of Revelation
5) the return of Jesus Christ
Some people reject the Rapture because they believe the relevant biblical passages simply describe Christ’s visible return at the end of the age.
Others believe that prophetic passages should be understood spiritually rather than literally.
However, several passages describe a sudden event in which believers are removed from the earth in an instant.
“We shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.”
1 Corinthians 15:52
“We will be caught up together with them in the clouds.”
1 Thessalonians 4:17
“Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.”
Matthew 24:40
These passages clearly point to a real and future Rapture of the Church before the great prophetic judgments unfold.
What Will Happen to Those Who Do Not Believe in the Rapture?
The Bible teaches that unbelief will not prevent God’s plan from being fulfilled👇
Throughout biblical history, prophetic events came to pass whether people believed them or not.
Rejecting a prophecy does not stop its fulfillment.
If the Rapture occurs as Scripture describes, millions of people will be completely caught off guard.
Many will realize too late that the biblical warnings were true.
The Bible describes a world dramatically shaken after the departure of believers:
1) worldwide confusion
2) widespread fear and uncertainty
3) political and economic crises
4) the rise of a global government
5) the appearance of the Antichrist
6) religious persecution
7) the judgments described in Revelation
Jesus warned that His return would take most people by surprise.
“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”
Matthew 25:13
“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”
Matthew 24:37
“The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.”
1 Thessalonians 5:2
The Bible does not reveal these prophecies to create fear, but to encourage everyone to examine the Scriptures, seek the truth, and be spiritually prepared for the return of Jesus Christ.
