« But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. »
In this verse, Jesus teaches that no one knows the exact day or hour of His glorious return. Only the Father knows the precise moment when the final events of His prophetic plan will be fulfilled.
This statement remains true today. Although believers can recognize the signs of the times revealed in Scripture, no one can determine the exact date of Jesus Christ’s return. Biblical prophecy enables us to discern the approach of these events, but not to know the specific day or hour.
This verse calls believers to live in constant watchfulness and faithfulness. Rather than trying to calculate a date, Jesus urges His followers to be continually prepared, eagerly awaiting the fulfillment of His glorious return.
« And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. »
In this verse, Jesus encourages His disciples not to fear when the prophetic events of the last days begin to unfold. Instead, they are to look up with hope, because their redemption is drawing near.
This prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. According to the prophetic chronology presented on this website, after the invasion of Gog and Magog and the confirmation of the seven-year covenant foretold in Daniel 9:27, the events of the last days will begin to unfold rapidly. For the Church, deliverance will come through the Rapture, before the judgments of the Tribulation begin.
This verse is a message of hope for believers. In the midst of the upheavals foretold by Jesus, Christians are reminded that God’s prophetic plan leads to the deliverance of those who belong to Jesus Christ. The signs of the last days are therefore not a reason for despair, but an encouragement to look forward with confidence to the fulfillment of His promises.
« And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. »
In this passage, Gabriel announces that the Antichrist will confirm a seven-year covenant with many, marking the beginning of Daniel’s seventieth week. This covenant will bring a period of apparent peace and will allow the sacrificial system in Jerusalem to resume.
In the middle of the seven years, the Antichrist will break the covenant, put an end to the sacrifices, and commit the abomination of desolation by exalting himself against God and demanding the worship that belongs to God alone. This event marks the beginning of the Great Tribulation, a time of unprecedented persecution and even more severe judgments.
This verse is one of the most important prophecies concerning the last days. It announces the beginning of the seven-year Tribulation, which will ultimately be followed by the glorious return of Jesus Christ, the defeat of the Antichrist, and the establishment of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom.
« Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. »
In this verse, Jesus urges His disciples to remain constantly watchful as they await His coming. Because the exact time of His return is known only to God, believers are called to live each day in faith, obedience, and hopeful expectation.
This verse applies to the Rapture of the Church. Although believers can recognize the signs that the last days are approaching, no one knows the exact day when Jesus Christ will come for His Church. For this reason, Jesus emphasizes the importance of being ready at all times.
This verse is a call to spiritual watchfulness. Believers are to live in a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, so that they will be prepared when the Lord comes to receive His Church.
